About a bug (Patreon)

Actually I've been more ambitious than I thought at first for version 3.1. I've done important changes and still need a few days to complete it. I'll share a beta version with you tomorrow and explain the changes.

This post is about a bug that was reported few versions ago, more precisely since the version where I added the customizable shortcuts.

I was oriented toward a translation problem and I searched in vain in that direction but by chance, I think I found why some users can't open menus with latest versions of kPlug.

The bug occurs when kPlug doesn't find kPlug preferences at game start, it creates a new pref file but somehow the pref are corrupted...

On preferences creation, kPlug adds lines that set all shortcuts to none and worst sets the settings menu opening key to none, this should be impossible.

Upcoming version will fix the problem on pref creation but not sure I can fix it on already corrupted pref...

If you have the problem open kPlugPrefs.txt with notepad, select all the lines surrounded with magenta, delete them, save the file, and the problem is solved.

Be careful with the text editor software, that's why I specified to use default windows notepad. By default some other text editor encodes text files with a format unsupported by unity or the OS, I don't really know... It's something I noticed recently while searching around a translation issue as the cause of this bug.
