I saw this comment a while ago while watching this when it was airing and it still sticks to me to this day: “Marco’s death was not in vain, it was because of Annie taking his gear that Armin was able to suspect Annie, that lead to the slow unraveling of everything else. His death was the first step for humanity.” ❤️‍🩹😭 But yes this episode was so HARD to watch, I feel like this episode was THE ONE that tore me apart because you know how everyone feels about each other and is conflicted about this whole situation as they’re emotionally and mentally torn with what they have to do. You got to see that Bertholdt & Annie was just as conflicted when Reiner told them they had to get rid of Marco because they were emotionally attached to everyone else. And how Sasha, Connie & Jean are feeling the exact same conflict during their frame. Next episode is gonna be 🔥🔥🔥🤩🤩🤩

Marco 🥲🥺 he truly was, so no it wasn’t in vain but DAMN, the parallels from both sides being just devastated HURT. Everyone is truly going through it while also solidifying and acknowledging/accepting their role on THEIR side of this war. Truly. Wild.
