RIP Jim the Hamster (Patreon)

Jim is no more, succumbing yesterday to old age insofar as I can tell. Hab was dry and warm, air was flowing, nothing was technically amiss. He was just old, at 1 year 7 months when dwarf hams typically live 2 years. What perturbs me is that I've had multiple hams live nearly 3 years in the past. Jade, by the way, is still going strong thank goodness.

Did I do something wrong with Jim? Or was the unusual longevity of prior hamsternauts evidence I did something right, and Jim just had unforeseen health issues? At any rate I will be in mourning for some days, during which time the feed will be down (except for Hambunker) pending the purchase of a new hamsternaut.
