T-minus 48 hours until the habitats are re-submerged. Silicone takes forever to cure and I only remembered today that I meant to disassemble the gate valve, wash out the accumulated silica granules, then re-assemble it. That needed to be silicone sealed to the habitat shell too, otherwise the habs would be in the water already.

Anyways while we're waiting for that, I went a little nuts decorating the habitats. The signs are all laminated paper printouts mounted by cyanoacrylate glue to coroplast cutouts the same shape/size, except for internal art which doesn't have the coroplast behind it.

All interior art was soaked intentionally with hot sauce at the edges to deter chewing. I've had good results with this technique in the past. You may notice the old food dish has been replaced with a plasmid vending machine shaped hamster food dispenser.

This should prevent them from "burrowing" into their food as they did before, which made a huge mess. Now they have access only to a small surface area of food to take morsels from. The litter box is also intended to reduce mess by containing litter to one enclosed chamber, away from the gate valves.

You may also notice the right module is packed with nesting fluff. This is one of the common criticisms which struck me as valid, so I listened and implemented it. Fluff is prevented from becoming lodged in the gate valve by way of a 3d printed "fluff baffle". As yet unsure how well this will work in the long term.

Exterior signage is another question mark. It's laminated. It SHOULD be waterproof. It's all removable, attached with magnets/clips. Nothing is permanently attached, for repairability reasons. If the signs don't hold up as desired I can make new ones that will.

Anyway that's all for now. As ever, I am thankful for your support and will continue doing my best to make this project live up to your expectations, while having a blast doing it.
