At first, the character that was going to appear in the story was Laura's father, near the end... but I thought that Orozco was an interesting change.

Dr. Berit Orozco was originally created for the "Project Prime" comic timeline, as an alternative of C.WALLY, she was even more cruel, but she wouldn't want to exterminate all xenos, just control them.

When I decided to start part 2 of the legacy story, I thought that since she was all about control, it would be interesting to include her in the main story, also because Derideal part 2 is about control... and you'll see that this concept will be back in part 3, inthese last pages, the Consortium Conditioning will begin to exist for xenos (as it was mentioned in THE VOID rpg games, xenos are bound to obey humans, disobeying orders can hurt them, mentally)

Story wise, this episode tries to be more direct than I used to be with Derideal, I liked to plant subtle hits in dialogs, just stuff that could get you thinking, but these are the times of truth, the point where Derideal will begin to end.

also, it's sort of a mystery what Laura's father tried to do with cloning his daugther, I mean, maybe he did try to preserve some of her memories? or maybe it was enough for him to have part of her back... considering, it's impossible to clone memories, but what about programming?  are the bioreactors capable of this?
