This page sort of showcase the sudden realization Daniel has about the Nexo, the Consortium, the city...

I think science fiction dwells a lot on dystopian futures, and it's part of the reason I decided to focus this story more in the characters, in general... I just paint a little bit of the world, a little bit of the Consortium, enough for readers to think about it and make assumptions, it's just the canvas in which I decided to paint the story of the "xenos", who are... very irrelevant for the big world, they're not even big for the Consortium, just a strange side-project.

The Consortium is safe development, is progress... Nexo is the organization to guide human existence.

I've always thought humans sucks, that we just can't live together and really understand each (for whatever reason), keep in mind this is a story that I created during my late teens.

The Consortium is cruel, because there aren't the same morals than in this time, the Nexo exist, because humans can't take care of themselves and the world, can't seem to get along... so they need ways to control development.

In the Derideal "world" all humans are bad, because that's how I saw people back then, it was part of the gimmick of the Derideal setting, even the rebels that might have a little more emphaty in a sense, are acting under selfish goals and doesn't care exactly about creating something "better", they got no answers, they just want more freedom (in the original comic, the "good" rebels even decided to shot Aden to make him go berserk, to test his limits and see how he could be used against the Consortium).

in any case, I doubt I'll ever get into this ideas more in depth, I just like that readers figure out and feel this world as they want it... all that matters is that it's a dystopian future with a big corporation controlling a big city.

Some imagine this setting as a dirty cyberpunk dystopia, with neon lights and crime, poverty... something like the usual cyberpunk, or something that's like blade runner, and I think it's fine... even if I'm going for something a little different:

This society works, is clean, there's no much poverty... but humans doesn't seem like good people anymore, and that's the "normal" thing here, there are still "good" people, but they're still living under these rules.

There's much more to it, but I think I can make a bigger blog about everything once the comic is entirely over.

I wrote maybe a little too much now.
