"Much less reliable. Unpredictable." I guess you didn't get the memo of the recent hack of your security robots. I wouldn't exactly call them the paragon of reliability and predictability either now.

I work in computer science and the assertion that we will ever have thinking machines is dubious at best. Even the best machine learning algorithms (not even real AI) that have amazing results overall produce unexpected and bizarre outcomes eventually because unfathomable large datasets are being processed at a nearly unobservable level. Even if the computers can somehow work with enough data to emulate thought, they are still bound by our inability to create a flawless algorithm. We are so far from machines that don't need constant human correction that it's more plausible to me that genetic engineering will accelerate faster than true AI. Not that I have strong feelings or anything...

😅Yeah I get a little carried away on the subject. It makes sense from their perspective. Presumably Alpha can't be hacked unless you count psychological influences.
