Mix & Pixi suit designs WIP (Patreon)

I've been concepting some sort of uniform for the comic I've been working just in "concepts" and writing. 

at least the writing part is complete, but I plan to do a revision before greenlight to production.

in the meantime, I thought it was a good idea to put more thought into the character outfits, in the story they'll be part of a xeno training course, meaning they're mostly students and not fully trained Xenos for the Consortium... I think making them both wear an outfit will improve the "school" theme ahaha, so I made 3 concepts I liked enough. colors aren't final, but instead of blue I tried a pale purple.

Key aspects:

• Must look like an uniform, school or military mix if possible to fit the world theme.
• Mix wears a shorter version (the uniform is made for mice), also she will always wear pants.

1- Classic Pixi suit concept

nothing too fancy here, I planned that student xenos to wear the Pixi basic uniform seen in the previous comic (and other comics) which is being the "normal" xeno suit used by both males and female types in previous comics.

Pixi wouldn't wear jacket this time, becaus the jacket would be part of the "engineer xeno uniform" which technically she isn't yet.

these suits are very simple, so I'm not sure if I want to use something like this in this case, just to make the comic look different and improve the character's unique design.

2- Military inspired uniform

I spent a while looking up star wars uniforms, some anime too, and this was the result. I kinda like the female uniform to have skirt (but I guess they could also have pants as alternative) I decided to go this way because of some real uniforms I saw, in most cases they have skirts for women.

for cute factor I decided to swap a tie for a ribbon.

Mix would be wearing a version with pants. something funny about this version of the jacket is that Mix wouldn't be able to wear this thing properly, which give her sort of a rebel look, despite she's trying to wear it as she can haha.

This suit is the one that could make more sense for the world they're in.

3- School uniform inspired

This one is supposed to be as simple as possible, but with some "cute" decals inspired by japanese school uniforms I saw in some anime. the idea is to be simplier than a military uniform but with more cute details, like more curved cuts and a ribbon.

as I mentioned, this comic will have a different general "vibe" compared to my other comics, a more light ambience, I want it to feel more like a childhood story, but set in the Exigus's xeno trainings.

I would leave the "casual" outfits the characters are seen someday for next comics or skip them, maybe it would be a good idea, an uniform fits better with the world the comic takes place, despite how much I like Mix's wearing a hoodie haha.
