This page was hard to draw, not because the ideas were difficult, but my goal with this story was to push the story forward as fast as I could... so I erased the pages or panel many times in order to make compositions that allowed me to include as much of the script as possible in creative ways
let's say, compose two or 3 dialogs in a single panel or "showing" the passing of time and they running with only two panels instead of many of them running and reaching the different control points.

drawing the guys running behind Nova looking tired was also very fun to do haha... Bandi is trying hard to stick behind her, it's not that he's not as tired as the rest, but I thought he was going to try as hard as he could to follow his sister in this situation.

Cale is excited for the mission, as it reminded him the time he was a recruit, nothing to special about it, except that he was training with Nova's father at the time.

The "glowing" sticks signals are just something I made up to make the landscape more interesting to draw and include more colors, since the XEN clan is mostly underground, above is very dark and builings tend to be located in certain areas, but beside those point above isn't much populated.

so I thought they mark safe points across their lands (control points) and also mark and put delimitations around their borders, it's also a way to mark the territory, also useful to warn outsiders.

and makes easier for the recon patrol to just follow these paths and report.
