I wanted to capture the feeling of being in a dream, but almost as you were just watching... Alpha's there, but he's barely intereacting with the rest, even if he's supposed to be trying.

sometimes Aden overlaps with whatever Alpha is trying to do in the picture, a duality.

and it shows different attitudes, Aden's just a kid, but he'll try to fight the big robot... Alpha is more scared about it, and he knows what that thing is capable of.

of course this all is just a representation of the moment when he lost Laura, in the shape of a twisted nightmare.
