Laura doesn't really have any memories of the girl she "was" clone from. I also liked the idea that Laura always struggled with the fact of being a "cat" person and resisted most of her impulses, but maybe she had moments of weakness.

I like the idea of the genetic memory, but I won't explore it, let's say... the mitochondrial DNA is inherited from mother cells, so it gives me an idea that probably girls carry the dna of their entire bloodline in their cells haha (I've never studied it much, just things I thought years ago)

in any case, it's impossible for the Consortium, at least at this point to make a backup of a person inside a xeno, the Neuroplasty device might allow to inject a personality and memories into a xeno someday, but still... there will always be a disjointed experience as I imagine it.

In LOST MEMORIES it's mentioned that Xeno Exigus mice are loaded with a ton of knowledge, but they need to experience it before in order to understand it and even when practicing, they realized xenos can't perform well in every task. (I guess, unless they're Mix, the first and only Meliora Xeno)
