A ton of work has been complete for the untitled voxel shooter. To start, I picked out some nice textures and added procedural grass on all surfaces of the voxels, giving it a slight cartoony look.

As for gameplay, I have decided to go for unique realism. For instance, you can now throw your protective helmet at other players. This exposes your head to one shot kills:

However your helmet also provides a 2~3 second stumble against the enemy you throw it at. It's a bit difficult to land a shot so I added a tiny bit of handicap to better guide the helmet throw.

Additionally, because your rifle is a slow firing bolt rifle, you can just throw your helmet for the same effect. Very useful in situations where you don't want to reload:

If you are stumbled by a helmet or thrown rifle, you can still fire your rifle, you just won't be able to aim.

And also making sure that you can't uncrouch when there is a ceiling above you.


I'd like to have an open alpha just to mess around and see if you have any other suggestions for the game.
