Today's devpost is short as it has mostly been backend work and fixes. But before I get to it I wanted to formally announce the Backrooms photo competition. It's going on at the [Discord]. The winner will receive a camera!

All kinds of photography experience are welcomed. You can use your phone or whatever you deem best.

As for the game, it has mostly been backend clean up and server maintenance. The game is really shaping up. I want to work towards a release trailer that highlights how much stuff has been added. The game has gotten a kind of Dark Souls vibe where people can use items in a multiplayer world. Here is one in action:

The item artistic direction feels a bit "whimsical" at the moment but it is slowly matching the dark and gritty backrooms feel. The items are unique and bizarre. Very little information on what they do will be provided. You'll have to experiment to find out what it does.

That said there will NOT be any sort of items that can kill or destroy entities. That would ruin the hopelessness of the backrooms universe. These are mainly passive or utility items that sometimes are useful for the story quests.
