Some more work was done on existing features. Walking was slightly tweaked to feel better as well as running.

I did however forgot to finish a behavior I had animations for. You can now feed characters by directly giving them food. This is only enabled for small foods like strawberries but you can mod it to whatever. Including weird props like live chickens.

The onsen is functional again and you can make characters get in the spa water by commanding them to the onsen sign.

Here's where things took a different turn in my design: Basically, I'm in the process of figuring out how custom characters can have different clothing pieces. At the moment they jump into the onsen water in their original model outfit and it looks weird. In v0.8, characters would change into a towel robe which made more sense. The reason why I went this route is because I am brainstorming how fully custom characters can "swap" out clothing models.

In v0.8, characters could be assigned all sorts of clothing pieces and everyone can make easy clothing accessories. The drawback for this though was that every single character had to be the same body type, because they all shared the same body mesh. In v0.9 of course, that's no longer the case. So, I propose a system in which you can still have the original clothing character model (any body type, shape, etc. like v0.9) BUT a v0.8 style template of the character that is ADDITIONALLY created so characters can swap to this for custom clothing. This would allow custom characters to still have the option to be in their original source material clothing but you could also swap to the naked base template to create clothing like in v0.8. The catch however is that various characters could have slightly different body proportions for base templates. So I will need to make a certain number of body templates. I think 3 is good. One base template for a small character, a base template for a medium character, and a base template for an adult character model.

Any other sort of unique character that requires a template, can be commissioned. No details on this part yet but it's in the works.

The goal is to create a community of character modders for Viva.

First things first though, getting this re-release out the door with the youtube videos.

Stay tuned!
