I am still adding back in tons of behaviors to match v0.8.

To start out, I added back in all the idle animations. So whenever the character is idling she will start to do random things.

You can also scare them by having fast moving objects approach them closely. Or by throwing things fast at them.

The next big thing to bring back is cooking. This will serve as a way to create things. The interesting thing about it is that it will also support custom mods. So that means that you will be able to replace the base recipes to create something else. You could make a recipe that creates any other custom item that you've created. The system side of this is still being brainstormed but I'll show off how it works in the next devpost.

The kitchen at the moment was placed outside like a sort of outdoor bar. I didn't want to spend more time on expanding the map because I felt features are more important so this is a sort of temporary solution for now.

In other news, I spent 1 day optimizing things so everything was more performant. To start, I've greatly reduced the poly draw count on screen by almost 60%. This was achieved primarily by drawing shadows once every 4 frames with no noticeable difference. Also, character outlines are no longer rendered when the characters are far enough.

However the launch of this game will provide the user with a quality setting in case you want to ramp up the frequency of shadows being drawn.

I'm also gearing up to release another YouTube trailer to show off what we have so far. I'd like to finish cooking first and then record a YouTube video to tease the mod tools, the behaviors, and the v0.9 public release date.

This is awesome! Gotta say that I'd be scared too if some ran at me with their arms out like a Jiang-shi. :P
