I'm getting very close to finishing the sleeping behavior module. First I'll talk about other general fixes and improvements I have attended to.

First off, we are no longer going to be using .shino files for your game session. They will now be replaced with .viva files and they now properly store everything about your current game session, meaning the Save & Quit will actually save and reload next time you open up the game. Currently it will save:

Your position, time of day, your mouse settings, music/sound settings, and Shinobu's clothing. This should make it far less annoying no longer having to spawn in the tutorial zone if you already did it.

Next, the pause menu has been improved and will no longer intersect with the world in keyboard mode. It looks much nicer and also includes some great sound effects made by Calpico.

Another improvement is very important and is related to the card system. I have implemented multi core support so you can now create and load clothing cards ultra fast now. The improvements were as follows:

Loading cards: 8 seconds now down to 1.5 second

Creating cards: 7 seconds now down to 0.9 seconds

Quick demonstration on my 5 year old Linux laptop:

I even took out the loading cycle thing since it's so fast now. It scales with hardware so it should be even faster if you have a decent rig.

As for sleeping, Shinobu has a lot more animations. If she is asleep and you annoy her, she will turn over and change positions.

All of these animations have new unused japanese voice actress lines. They sound great. You can keep annoying her in this position.

I haven't quite finished wiring up the logic but if you do keep annoying her, she will turn your back against you and lay on her side. I'll have it in by next devpost. This should be it for sleeping. I will add a few more things and flesh out the mechanics a bit.

We are approaching the release of v0.55 quickly! There will be another Beta tomorrow for Supporter tier which will address the SteamVR Input problems. SteamVR Input is very annoying to work with but that's the price of using bleeding edge technology.

On a smaller note, the new Japanese voice actresses have been formally hired and are now in the recording session! These 2 new voice actresses will be new voice sets for the player to switch to when character customization rolls out!

Also I really am impressed we passed 1000 American cheeseburgers per month! Thank you once again! Here's a drawing made by a fan:

Once again, thank you!

Stay tuned.
