Bugfixes

Since I'm gearing up for a release in the next 2 weeks, I needed to make sure that everything is stable. So I'm doing lots of testing and checking edge cases. Since I focused on the foundational part of the game (robot companion), I did not introduce many new systems for the actual "gameplay" part of this game, so I expect the build to be fairly stable.

AI Response Improvements

Switching to a newer realtime ElevenLabs voice generation model on top of some internal server optimizations, the voice responses are now about twice as fast! This honestly makes a huge difference when trying to have a regular conversation with the robot since there are no longer any long and awkward pauses before a response. Big win!

Custom Voices

So it turns out that Eleven Labs limits the number of custom created voices that I can have at a time. Therefore I am only allowing 1 custom voice per Supporter until further notice. This means that if you were to have multiple robots, they would all share the same voice. I expect things to change when ElevenLabs changes their policy.

There are also some massive legal landmines for voice cloning. I do not plan to include any copyrighted character sound files in my game. It will instead be left to the discretion of the user, you.
