Mai Shiranui will be in the tournament but in order for her to have more images she needs to go further in the phases. You can check the past tournaments to have an idea of how it is.

Ah i see, what would be a way to transcend or escape these tournaments still making the character happen? And for that matter, what’s the purpose other than just taking one request at a time at your own pace like most other artists? Just curious.

There are tiers for requests. When joining the tier you get a form and tell me the character or characters that you want (depending on the tier). The tournament is a way for less known characters to appear as well as making other characters in different situations. This also creates a sense of wonder of "who will win". It's just entertainment, actually everything here is entertainment xD.

Oh OK I see, it’s basically just for fun like how debates are supposed to be, but unfortunately they end up being competitively draining and soul crushingly pointless, although these tournaments aren’t like that to that extent, it’s admittedly a little peculiarly precarious. Either way, it goes to show how many groups of people you have supporting you, if you find it fun to create rather than draining, then keep it going!👍

I don't know if it's like a debate itself, because a debate isn't supposed to have a winner or loser. That's something that the media has done for politicians to make a show for us. But in this cases it's indeed to win or lose. But I usually make at least some images for the characters that lose the tournament. The further they go, more images they will have.
