I'm afraid I went all the way down the rabbit hole of obsession on this one. Sometimes that's how I deal with a brush with depression. Even so; I think it came out pretty well.

I've been enjoying the Mandalorian but I do find it a LITTLE annoying that Mandalorian armour is blaster-proof, but also only covers a few spots on their bodies. They're the only main characters in the Star Wars universe that Stormtroopers can hit and, in an amazing feat of marksmanship, the stormtroopers always manage to hit them right in the beskar. It's all very convenient and, for a fan of weapons, equipment, and armour like myself, a little improbable.

I wanted to create a Mandalorian in a suit of armour that I thought made sense; one approaching the coverage of a 16th century panoply when plate armour reached its peak.

Granted I didn't go QUITE this far, but I think I definitely created something that EVOKES the feeling of medieval plate armour. One thing I wanted to make sure of was to make sure that the armour looked like you could be nimble in it. I remember reading that it's possible to do acrobatics in plate armour if you're strong enough, and it was important to me to create a suit of armour that offered impressive protection without sacrificing agility.

Thank you all for bearing with me as I've gone through it. I'll be posting more Star Wars inspired stuff shortly.

Kisses!

Eva
