This New Eden "Colonist" (Earth governments would call her a terrorist) has been placed into a medically induced coma so she can pull a 78 hour guard shift in a suit only capable of carrying 4 hours of life support. By surrounding her killer satellite with a small army of "sleeping beauties" the visionary (Earth governments would call her evil) industrialist Corinne Drax ensures that if an attack does come her forces will be able to meet it long before they can get close enough to board her precious Moonraker Satellite. 

Of course, space is crowded in Earth's L5 point, and every now and again one of her guards is hit by a micro particle traveling at relative velocities of Mach 20 or so, with predictably lethal results, but there are always more young women eager to believe in something so much they'll give their lives for it, so a certain rate of attrition is a low price to pay for being able to cast a security net so broad. It DOES mean that for Moonraker's brave female guard corps the moment when they are placed into suspended animation is always a frightening one, as they don't know if they'll wake up again, but one's life is a small price to pay to be a part of something as momentous as Drax's vision, no?
