TIE Fighter pilots always think they're the hottest thing in the galaxy, Interceptor pilots even moreso. Ironic, then, that this Interceptor pilot looks so arrogant considering that in less than an hour she'll be little more than a cloud of atomized, expanding space debris.

TIE pilots actually, in Legends at least, have been brainwashed into thinking that they’re just pawns to be used by the Empire. TIE interceptor pilots are actually veterans and are slightly better than your average TIE pilot. Lol, sorry for my little nerd fest. I love Star Wars

Unfortunately it ain’t the sexy kind of brainwashing. It’s the psychological kind, you know, a healthy dose of propaganda mixed in with constantly being reminded of how expendable you are. Granted, not all TIE pilots are brainwashed pawns though those that aren’t usually join the Rebellion and turn in their fast but fragile TIE Fighters with no shielding, for ships that are a bit slower but have shielding and are more durable. Let me also add that most Imperial star fighters, except for certain kinds like the TIE Defender and the TIE Advanced, have no shields at all or a hyperdrive
