Hello shining diamonds,

Happy Sunday beautiful Patrons. This post is a little love letter to you and my sketchbook who have both been so dang good to me. One of the things I've been working on is dedicating more time for playing around in a sketchbook and leaving space for those crucial moments spent on play. The first image is  a recent sketchbook spread and the second is just the riot of art supplies and mess of a desk I love to work from.

I think all the time about ways to kickstart the sketching process and get from the stall-before-the-start to the making as quickly as possible. One of my favourite methods is mashing up a bunch of suggestions so I asked over on instagram for what to draw and many of YOU popped up and delivered. Building an image from disparate ideas is a wonderful way to play and it gets me into the realm of low stakes and silly quicker than a lot of more rigorous sketchbook exercises. For me, there is value in both but do I EVER love how a sketchbook spread of the communities' wild ideas turns out.

I'll be posting another poll in here soon about our next Patrons only hangout, and I wanted to thank you all for your mindful input on the shop questions. I've sent some asks to Patreon that we'd need to get going on that and I'll keep you all posted. I've also gotten some really sweet inquiries about some more spots in the snail-mail tiers and while I can't pull it off quite yet, I'm hoping to have it on the horizon soon.

I shared a little reel of this sketchbook spread so I wanted to share a little more about it on here for everyone. The time I can spend in a sketchbook is one of the most crucial ways that the folks who choose to support me here on Patreon change my whole world.

I can never fully convey how much it means to have this community lending such insights into my weird little world... DANG is it ever lovely to know you all.

Happy Sunday.

B
