Patrons only comic: The Five Year Mark (Patreon)

Incredible Patrons,

I learned during a livestream that my Patreon Page has just turned five years old. When it was pointed out to me I realized that I had NO idea we were approaching such a milestone, and that it's rare that I take a moment and actually look back at what we've done instead of forever planning what's next.

These comics I share with you here are often my chance to muddle through something with a mindfulness that comic-ing always brings me. Some of you might remember that Patreon was actually a way for me to take a more intentional approach to comic making, and try to exit the content-treadmill that had me mining my life for a near-daily comic while also teaching endless workshops. I don't know how long I could have kept that up, but I'm so grateful that this community here on Patreon meant I didn't have to find out. As much as creating a Patreon page was intimidating at first, it is truly one of the most rewarding endeavours I've ever leapt into.

No matter how long you've been here, or how long you stay, know that I appreciate every single one of you for all of your support in all it's forms. You've allowed me to step off the content treadmill and give myself time to be a much healthier, more mindful artist, to put together community events and develop philanthropy into my studio practice, to build projects with all of you and make artwork for you. 

You truly do make art happen friends. Thank you for being here and for helping make here a place I am so dang proud of.
