Hello beautiful Patrons. I made this video about blind contour portraits and wanted to give you all an early look. This version is just for you before the other version goes out on socials.

Blind contour drawing is already weird. It causes a deliberate disconnect between what we see and what we know and forces us to REALLY look at what we're drawing rather than relying on assumptions and memory. It's EXTRA strange when you do this exercise while staring at your own face and this is probably why I love it.

If you're so inclined, try this out as a funny exercise while we all have to spend some more time in close quarters. If you do make a drawing, you are always so very welcome to send me a picture. I'd love to see it.

In the meantime, I hope you're all staying safe and keeping an eye on your mailbox for those April perks. Can't wait for this months' designs to make their way. As always, so many thank yous for making these videos possible and supporting the work I do. You're awesome.

Be well friends.

Brenda

Portrait(ish) : Wait we're gonna WHAT?

Remember that blind contour exercise we did last week? It's about to get so much weirder. They say if you stare into the eyes of a stranger for long enough, you'll fall in love. What happens if I stare into my OWN EYES? Let's find out. Thank you Patrons, for making these videos happen. You're awesome and I love sharing these outrageous artsy antics with you. Did you try this out? Send me a pic! All music is from Epidemic Sound
