Hello Friends!

Just wanted to share the August Sketchbox video here before it hits the socials. This month's box had some Inktober vibes - getting us into that black and white mindset! As soon as I saw the Amsterdam Acrylic Ink I knew I'd be drawing a gorilla.

Fun fact: I drew this whole thing but then at the very end I added some more black in over the gorilla and completely ruined it. I re-sketched and started over and when I was done realized I had left the posca paint pen and the waterbrush in the box. Oops. Pulled them both out and shot a little extra segment where I used them but this wee vid took SEVERAL tries to make!

The only reason I can make videos like these (two three four times) is thanks to YOUR support and the space this little community provides me to make mistakes.

Gorilla is looking. August Sketchbox!

The Sketchbox folks must have Inktober on the brain already! Lots of lovely inks and drawing based materials this month. As soon as I saw the graphite ink I knew Gorilla was going to make an appearance.
