PRO POSTAL 4 - FRIDAY (Patreon)

I'd like to take a moment to welcome the staggering influx of new patrons since the last video. The magic words that lead to success, apparently, are "sewer count" and I suggest that you practice this mantra in the mirror every morning. Thank you all for showing up and I'm sure some of you will be very happy to finally see this newest chapter in the Postal saga. 

It's one of the most trying and difficult edits I've ever had to do.

Because Postal 4 is, uhhh... extraordinarily janky and up until about two weeks ago felt unplayable, I had put off a new video to show off Friday. I should have waited another week.

While the game is in a much better state after the last couple of patches, the "press build" you see towards the beginning of this video was so badly optimized that I ended up throwing out half of my capture after the rough cut of the video was done, going back, re-recording, cutting, trimming, and hooking it's testicles to a car battery to bring it back to life. This isn't normally how these things go and it ended up generating my favorite bit in the whole thing but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who might have a heart condition or is prone to violent rampages. 

Postal 4 is janky, kids. Real, real janky, and the happy ending to this story is that it is playable. And it allowed me (and only me, I guess) to end it on my own terms. Remember, this is not the end for Postal videos. I'm not even sure if it's a wrap on Postal 4 videos. Next up is an underappreciated classic from LucasArts that has absolutely nothing to do with Star Wars and everything to do with rootin', tootin', and six-shootin'.
