i don't feel good about this.

But they released Fresh Supply too early and it's buggy and weird. I wanted to like it and for a while it was ok. I've been telling people privately to not buy it. If you're on the discord, there's been a lot of discussion about it over the last couple days as people continue to find more and more problems. It was clearly released too early. I wanted it to be good and could have overlooked a lot of small problems, even inaccuracies to Blood, if it meant a decently playable remaster. It could be that one day. A patch is rumored within the week. But did anyone really expect the official remaster of the game to be worse off than fan-made ports on launch?

I'm probably going to put this up a little later today publicly because I want to warn everyone, not just patrons.

I feel badly for Nightdive, I doubt they wanted to release it in this state.

I've not noticed so many problems myself, a couple of early crashes but I"m about halfway into episode 2 now and it's been stable. Bugs are annoying, and the first thing I noticed when the game starts is the main menu has no music or sound effects to menu selection (that said I don't remember if the game normally did have menu SFX), and no demo running. Just seems a little unceremonious.

Also, things I do like: new voxels for 2D sprites and buttons etc. Feels authentic and is only superficial, but it's a nice detail to add in. To be honest, my main issue with the game is that 5.1 surround sound really doesn't work properly at the moment, the balances are positioning of sounds is all off. I only paid 3.99 for this seeing as I already had the One Unit Whole Blood edition on GOG so I don't exactly feel burnt, but it would, as usual, be nice for things to be more finished when released. It seems odd to rush a remaster of a game that's more than 20 years old.

Releasing the vid earlier might be a good call, I guess - people deserve to know. I didn't and bought it as soon as I realized that I have that whole One Unit Whole Blood discount. And while we're at it: is it only me, or did GOG pull OUWB off their shelves? I can't find it anymore, but strangely enough, it's still available on Steam. {EDIT: nvm - it's bundled together with FS and I'm a blind moron]

Takes a lot to admit something you love is broken. Good on ya for staying true. Too bad I bought it about 4 hours before this released.

Hate when I mess with FOV settings like that and accidentally 2001 myself

Hbomb

I think all your points are true and fair but still really like the existence of a proper release and will probably keep playing it and hope they patch it

Luckily I bought it the day after the patch was released. Man, I'm good. I haven't played blood since it first came out. I remember my brother and I being fascinated with it. But it was just the first level demo, we never found it in stores. Now the whole game is on! Dude! Every single 90's FPS you review is my childhood. Love the stuff, bro. Your voice is awesome and your jokes are funny. If anyone tells you different, they're a damn liar.

You can technically still get the dosbox version through GoG. Only problem is that you have to buy Full Supply to get it (it's buried in the "Goodies" section, in ZIP form.)
