Actually , doesnt Crystal of Madness affects the enemies that are caught in the green smoke ? i was under the impression becouse i took out the entire groups of monsters with it

Yes. I think the wording might have been a little vague in the video.

I think it says "whatever monster you throw it at" in the video. Didnt even think about it because both of them started attacking each other and the whole room was full of the green gas.

There is one of those crystals in a secret in E3M9 XD Throwing it in that level was probably one of the most satisfying expiriences i had
