Heh. What can I say I absolutely love the deathsong…slitherwings are cool…Astrid, stormfly and garff really make it wholesome and fun. It’s a solid episode. Yeah tbh not 10/10 but I can dream.

It's a real shame they didn't use the slitherwing anywhere else in the series... it was such a cool design. But one thing that isn't filler in this episode is why Stormflys blast turns blue. Basically whenever a dragon goes through an intense emotional experience, their fire-power capabilities increase a lot. Think of it as an adrenaline rush but for dragons. This explains Toothless' sudden power up in the 2nd movie. The threat of nearly being frozen to death combined with saving Hiccup triggered that, which is why his plasma blasts got powerful enough to knock the bewilderbeast back, and why he glowed blue. But that ability is temporary.

Garff is a W but I agree with bloom. Wouldn't give it more than a 7. A 7.5 at best. Unfortunately "Snuffnut" is a 100% filler episode. I don't recall anything related to the story BUT like this episode, it focuses on character development.

I haven't checked the wiki or anything but why else would the writers bother putting in that detail? I don't remember if Audrie Greywind ever brought up this point but it only seems logical. The writes of this show just don't pull random tricks out of nowhere for the purposes of completing the story without explaining. Like usually every dragon ability, habit and world building detail has some logical explanation to it, so it would only make sense.

Most of the filler of these last two season is kinda mid 4-6.8/10 rating for the filler for me. But the episodes that matter to the over all plot are like a 10/10 each time
