So here's the timeline of Gwen, a bit shorter than other timelines but at least this comic page got one haha. In the past previous comic pages I've done didn't get them.

Making comics is quite different to making standalone Illustrations. It can be harder in some ways and easier in others.

For example, illustrations need way more detail as they stand of their own, while comics, not so much they have more going on to focus already plus each panel is much more smaller so it doesn't allow for such detail either.

Of course it's harder to get all the references necessary. While Gwen has a very simple design sheet floating around which helps for other characters getting images of different angles is much harder. That's not even counting the pose references.

Planning can also be much harder. as I have to take into account what panels will exist, where each panel will fit and what it will have. Also fitting the text there too.

Originally this was going to have only 3 panels. One Panel to show the start with Gwen talking and the talk about it being anaI. Another with the sex scene and of course the "after" panel. On this set up the second was going to be the "main panel. However I couldn't decide which angle I wanted for the 2 first panels.

I Knew I wanted to present Gwen normally but then also showing her offer. I knew wanted to put her penetrated but also her expression, so I ended up doing 5 panels, breaking down the first two and turning the "after" panel into the main one. Which worked well because it became my favorite panel anyway.

This is something that happens in every comic however, having to decide what to show, and how to do it. What to highlight and what to break down.

How to divide the panels is also something to think about. Having the main element get out of the panel limit a bit into the background serves as a nice 3d effect.

Comics vs Illustrations is also about advantages and disadvantages of course.

Once again, Illustrations lend themselves to greater detail and look better overall than individual panels. They also can have way more variations as it is easier and they aren't beholden to other panels.

However comics can tell a story. Even if an illustration has variations, comics do it better as they show much different things in one "page". I always like to think of the R34 I make as a scene, hence why I often add dialogue and have different variations that might "move along the story". This is way easier to express with a comic of course.

Meanwhile sometimes I feel some panels have some great visuals that sadly don't reach their potential because they aren't a full illustration. Specially the last panel here for example, I may one day turn it into a full illustration on it's own.

While at the same time comics allow to display a full story much easier and faster than doing series like Ashe's or Fiora's in the past. Heck Fiora's did end up with a comic page after all.

All in all both have pros and cons and both are fun and good to work on in their own way.

Anyway

Hope you like this.
