Update 6/11/2021: Minor tweaking on her face textures. Added face mask and war paint! Her mask have padding on the inside too, so it's more comfortable to wear ;)

Here is more screenshots of Dark Elf Blader with her full body PBR textures and finished hairs!
Her huge and fluffy ponytail took me the entire last month of work. I will update this post later and show a simple breakdown progress.

Also I can draw more detailed eyebrows this time! Thanks for Olivier Lau's Hair TG Surface Tool! Another fully procedural hair tool for Substance Painter, easy to use and he included some helpful manual videos too ;)

A light skin variation is already in progress. But I want to make another "dark skin" variation that's more gray/blueish for her too, like this Dark Elf from Lineage:

Only halfway done here! I'm moving on to work on her armor next, thanks everyone for supporting me <3

Update: Added 4 images of simple break process of hair placement! This is my general idea of working with hair cards, hope this helps ;)

Dude, making some scenes with Dark Elf and an Orc or some Goblins would be amazing One day....when Orc Marauder is done 😍

Firstly, I have to really praise the sculpt and texturing for her face. She's incredibly beautiful, but you added a subtle strength in her features. I love the texturing and colours of her lips and eyes, and her body looks excellent. I still think giving her sharper slit pupils would look better, like a cat's, rather than the long oval-shaped pupils she has now. My main critique, and it's a big one, is her hair looking like a wig. The hair itself is EXCELLENT, it looks thick, silky smooth but somehow still a bit fluffy. The problem is that it looks like it all just sits of top of her head without connecting to it. This is basically because the hair roots are essentially non-existent at the top front of her hairline. But if you add some visible hair roots to the top of her forehead (for where the front bangs and "plume", would connect to her scalp) it would solve problem I think! :) I can't tell if you actually altered the sculpt of her feet, or if it's just the angles and lighting, but the feet look better proportioned here! Also, thank you for the process breakdown, they are always interesting and inspiring!

Sure! I will add some thin hair line on her forehead later to make the trasition better, actually I was forgot about adding it on her plume :P. Still want to keep the oval pupil on her eyes tho ;). I tried the cat eyes before and she look like a different species :(

HIMEROSY

Great, I look forward to it :) The oval pupils still look good, it's a good compromise design regardless!

Panther eyes, warm but still have tempered n. cold steel sight. Slash enemies, don't seduce...time to show ruthless to enemy, only death is left for'em.

Regarding the mask update to this post: It looks fantastic! I think the metal textures are PERFECT (the eye scratch is a great detail), and I love that you made the straps fabric instead of leaving them metal (much more comfortable and sensible). My critiques for the mask: The straps seem to connect at the back with the metal clips. In terms of design, this might be a point of discomfort for wearing. For a clip like that, I think it would be better for it to connect to one side of the mask. Alternatively, a ribbon or string tied up at the back might work too. Whilst the clip makes the mask design a bit more interesting, it doesn't really matter if it's at the back of her head under her ponytail, where it will barely be visible anyway. I love that you gave the mask some internal padding, but as a minor nitpick, I think the hexagonal texturing is a bit more Sci-Fi than fantasy, but maybe that's just me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The gemstone in the mask is a great detail! Just based on the concept art, I would have thought that a yellow or white gem (to match her hair or eyes) would suit her better than green (although I don't know what plans you have for her overall colour scheme). It would also be really cool to see in different colours for her colour variations! Finally, the face markings, whilst cool, really don't suit the character in my opinion (they remind me of WoW elves). I'd love to see them in her alternative colour sets, but I think she would look better without them for her default colour scheme. BTW, what was the update for her face texturing? I can't quite tell 😅 Still, I love all the work and detail your putting into DEB, and I'm really happy you're sharing all these mini updates about her, it gets me excited for the final result, and makes me (and I'm guessing the other patrons) feel more included in your creative process! ^_^

Thanks! For the metal clip on the back, I made a small ribbon but it make the area look busy because she already have a big tie on her ponytail. So I was thinking of just remove the clip entirely, so the string will be elastic like the one we see on sleep mask ;) The face warpaint texture is setup to be toggleable so no worries :D
