Patreon keeps eating my stupidly long comment, so I'm splitting it into two parts~ Good goddess Arisa, just inject this straight into my veins! (are there any more beautiful words than "Good girl~" when they're coming from a dominant woman?) This is such a perfect "confession" scene. I love that they both already know they're way past "author and editor," but Blaze still presses Holly to say it out loud...because that's what Holly wants and needs. She *needs* it because Holly is very competent, assertive and confident in a lot of things, but when it comes to her feelings she struggles with saying them out loud. Especially since she's still in the closet to her family. So the only way she can be honest is if she's being pushed (maybe not gently, but certainly not unkindly). And she *wants* it because, c'mon, she's the eponymous "Masochistic Boss"! Holly definitely likes to be handled by a woman with a strong personality, and Blaze knows that and is happy to oblige. It's honestly super sweet, , while also being very sexy. And I think it goes to show how dom/sub dynamics can be present and healthy while the couple is still on fairly equal ground.

Holly has shown that she's perfectly capable of pushing back against Blaze when she needs/wants to, and Blaze made it clear *before* launching into this performance that first-and-foremost what matters is Holly's comfort/happiness. Holly very likely wouldn't be willing to take *actual* bullying from someone she didn't like, and Blaze almost certainly wouldn't push Holly on anything she wasn't truly comfortable with. There's trust here, which is just...so awesome. I love that Blaze is also blushing in those final panels. She's obviously being very dom here, which puts the focus on Holly's reactions to what she's saying and doing, but she's clearly having just as much fun with this. Despite the apparent dynamic, she's also letting herself be vulnerable; remember that she began this day thinking Holly didn't like her. What if she put on this very sexually-charged performance and then Holly turned her down? That'd be *mortifying.* It's only because she trusts that this is what Holly wants and that it will make Holly feel good, that she can allow herself to let go and act in this way that makes her feel good, too. Again, trust is crucial (and awesome)!
