October 9th, 2022 Developer Update - Site Wide Likes, Trash Count Returning (Patreon)

For performance reasons some pages stopped showing the likes and trashes. Naturally, this was not preferred, but as the database was growing it became hard to actually figure out how to handle this.

This is a normal problem for mysql databases, but in order to fulfil my proper vision of the site I wanted numbers everywhere, so I solved that issue this weekend. It's not exactly my preferred method (triggers) but it works and gives realtime updates to the proper tables of counts (up and down).

However, this also means unrolling the shitty solutions I had before. Good & Bad, I suppose?
