Hello friends,

Welcome back to Swiftlessons for another lead guitar tutorial. In today's session we're going to add some country twang to your skillset, and master a complete guitar solo in the key of C major. Together we'll learn 8 classic licks utilizing major pentatonics, harmony bends, arpeggios, and the CAGED system. Practice each lick slowly, being sure to visualize the overlapping chord shapes and source scale patterns I have described. Let's get started!

P.S. I'm so excited to welcome aspiring guitarist from around the world into the Swiftlessons Community. Please comment below and let us know where you hail from, and what goals you have for the summer season. Thanks!

I'll get the ball rolling - I'm Rob Swift, I'm originally from the Jersey shore, and when I'm not playing guitar, I'm usually practicing speaking polish, and spending time with my lovely wife and daughter. This summer I want to improve my audio production skills and record an EP.

I’m Michael, and I live in Maine, but my wife is from Camden County, NJ! My goals are to improve my music theory understanding and strumming fluency!

I'm Mike Southerton, I live outside of Philadelphia. I teach English and film studies, am a father of 2, and have been (very slowly) building a studio in an old barn. This summer I'm hoping to release some new music, play a couple shows, and keep working in the barn!

My name is Piotr, I live in Ołobok - it is in Poland. I got my first guitar more than 20 years ago when I was maybe 13-15. Sadly, I am so lazy that I have never really progressed past bonfire chord playing and some random riffs picked here and there. But now I am planning to change it. I was looking for some materials on YouTube, and I found your channel. I am amazed by your attitude, knowledge, skill, and the way you teach. Great job, I am looking forward to each and every new lesson you post.
