Today I'm introducing the return of my featured artist video playlist! Each month I'll invite a talented local artist, or touring musician to come and share some of their wisdom, and of course, play a few tunes. This week I was honored to once again host the amazing Chelsea Mitchell, who performed a very simple three chord version of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" and also debuted her new original "Hollywood Lovesong."

In this video we share some pro-tips for beginner performers, hoping to break into their local music scenes. We'll discuss how to find inspiration, write songs, book gigs, find musicians to jam with, sell records, and build up your fanbase.
