Rob can you comment on the Gretch guitar you are playing? Also what is best guitar for blues music in your opinion? Thank you

Hey Ben, oh yeah, I can talk about that guitar all day. Five years ago I visited Chicago music exchange and came across a beautiful late 60s Gretsch Country Gentleman. At the time I was pretty strapped for cash, so buying it wasn’t an option. Well, this year I finally put enough cash aside to purchase one, an all original 65’ GCG, and got a nice tax deduction in the process. Needless to say, I’m in love. As for the best blues guitar, it’s very subjective, but I can say that I personally appreciate the tone of humbuckers over single coil pickups. If I had to pick a real winner, I’d say the Gibson ES335 is #1.

Thanks. Definitely beautiful looking and sounding guitar you have there.

Rob, Seeing your beautiful Gretsch guitar reminds me of Mr. Guitar, Chet Atkins. Check out this video clip from the Johnny Cash special https://youtu.be/GZ6VkftMO7k
