Great lesson Rob. I am just beginning to learn the various scales. I'm a bit confused perhaps you can help me understand. Position 1 for the minor pentatonic scale is (5-8) (5-7) (5-7) (5-7) (5-8) (5-8) and the scale we used for this blues lesson is (5-8) (5-6-7) (5-7) (5-7-8) (5-8) (5-8)

Hey Tom, thanks for the feedback. Yes, it looks like you have your minor pentatonic scale well memorized, meaning the next step for you is to add the flat 5 note, thus creating the extra flavorful “minor blues scale.” Let me know if you have further questions. -Rob

Thanks Rob. This has been extremely helpful in simplifying and demystifying the concept of playing blues guitar. Your lessons are helping me get beyond the plateau I've been stuck on for a long time.

Regarding the beginning of the last solo phrase, the 5-8 repeated bend..... I find it pretty easy to make the bend with my pinky finger in position. Should I be playing this with the ring finger stretch as Rob is demonstrating? Love all your blues lessons, really helping me progress, Thank You Rob!
