Hello friends,

To kick off the month of February, I'm launching a new ten part lessons series on solo blues guitar. The goal in mind is to learn how to represent a 12 bar blues progression using basslines, and licks built from the major and minor pentatonic scales.

I've created several routines for you to learn, each will shed light on common blues techniques like licks, chord transitions and turnarounds. We will begin with something easy, and progress into more challenging techniques with each new routine.  Let's get started!

Lessons in this Series:

Note: Each routine gets progressively more difficult.

Solo Blues Guitar Lesson for Beginners - Routines 1-2

Access TABS and videos for routines #1-8 at: https://www.patreon.com/posts/solo-blues-for-1-4318392 In this lesson from Philadelphia based guitar instructor Rob Swift, you will learn two beginner friendly, solo blues guitar routines. Students will learn to represent chords by placing their root notes on the beat in which they arrive, while performing lead lines created using the blues, and major scales. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Links: Facebook: http://facebook.com/swiftguitarlessons Instagram: https://instagram.com/swiftguitarlessons Twitter: https://twitter.com/swiftlessons Request a song at: http://swiftlessons.com/Request_a_Song

I really like this breakdown. do you have a video somewhere where you utilize the approaches you cover in 1-6 with someone playing the chords with you? That would be cool to see the whole thing. Maybe you will be doing that in the future and I'm being impatient. Just let me know. Great stuff.

everything is perfect, and do you know why? because many books or video tutorials, start at a low level and then become more difficult, but in reality it is not so because they take things for granted that for a beginner they are not at all. That's why I find these 10 fundamental lessons, because they really start from the base, and find out how in reality the blues is nice even simple, but above all you can get to understand the contents of why a note played rather than another. THE ONLY MEETING that I feel I can do, is that YOU CAN PUT THE VALUE OF NOTES, because for those who can read music is a great help, and can also play alone without necessarily supporting the videos or only after storing, the VALUE of the NOTES. Thank you. Keep it up.
