Hello friends,

and welcome back to Swiftlessons for another by request song tutorial. In today's session I've broken down a fairly beginner friendly song in Elvis Presley's "Pocket full of Rainbows." This tune is an excellent stepping stone for players looking to break out of the open position (first three frets) and start implementing movable shapes and bar chords. I'll take you through the intro, verse and chorus sections, as we learn to apply the simple calypso strumming pattern. Let's get started!

Haha, it’s true, this is kind of a deep cut. I only got one request for this song in particular, but I fell in love with it. I do however get lots of request that read simply “more Elvis.” So I figured this one is pretty easy, I might as well knock it out.

Bee Gees - How Can You Mend this Broken Heart? or Linda Ronstadt - Blue Bayou. I know Roy Orbison wrote it and sang it too, but I think Linda’s interpretation is awesome. She owns that song. Wow! What a voice! Elvis - Loving You.... Mama Cass - Dream a Little Dream of Me.... Hope the members agree with these ballads too 😎 keep up with the good work Rob and sorry for my long list.
