Great lesson, Rob. It's great to know the "how" behind using the capo for voicings, especially when two guitars are playing the same song. Now I just need to develop the mental acuity to make that happen without confusing myself! Thanks, as always.

Thanks so much Rob. I have often struggled to find out witch key when using a capo. You made it easy by simply getting to the"ROOT" of things. What a great an easy way to know!! Loved your little demo on Here Comes the Sun. Do you think you could put that one out as a complete lesson?

Thanks!! Best lessons on the internet.

Thank you so much for the Capo lesson. And most importantly, for the Root Theory tie in that really opens up the understanding and usage of the Capo! Tony said it best in a comment above! You really got to the “Root” of the problem! And you being the Musical instructional extraordinaire, have unraveled the Capo dilemma in a very understandable way! Many thanks!

Hey Dawn, glad this lesson made sense, I spent about a week figuring out how I was going to explain this subject and the order in which each detail would be discussed, it’s a tricky thing to break down. Don’t feel bad if this stuff gets you confused, I’ve been studying it for most of my life now and I still get mixed up.

Hey Tony, I’m so happy to hear that this lesson helped the theory behind the capo click for you, thanks for taking the time to comment. Yes, Here Comes the Sun is on the chopping block for sure!

Thanks for the positive feedback and support Paul! Expect a bunch of new lessons in the coming week!

Hey Carl, I’m relieved that this lesson has been effective, it’s a tricky subject to explain. Thanks so much for the encouragement today!

By far, the best explained use of the capo. Short, to the point, and well laid out. I showed this to my 11 year old who is learning. She says you are a better teacher than I. Thanks for the help on this one.
