Hello friends,

And welcome to another blues lead guitar lesson. In this mini-tutorial, I'll be breaking down a descending lick that encompasses some of my favorite lead guitar techniques:

  • Mixing major and minor pentatonic scales.
  • Replacing the 5th with the flat 5 (devil's interval)
  • Resolving with a dominant 7 chord double stop.

Be sure to practice slowly and break this phrase up into digestible segments for easier learning. Remember to book more this and your other favorite lessons for speedy access. Let's get started!

Awesome thanks!

My pleasure Bob, I’m hoping to offer some more content that is easily digestible. Most of my lessons are 10-30 minutes long, so I think some tiny tidbits would be welcomed.

Thanks, Rob. Quick and dirty but still with lots of scale related context. Lots to on and lots to learn.
