Hello friends,

Today I'm working on a new country lead guitar lesson and jam track in the style of Merle Haggard. This track features a 5.4.1 progression (A, G, D), which is often used as a turnaround or intro for country tunes.

Jam over this using your D major pentatonic or blues scale, and be sure to consider using chord tones whenever possible. I'll be back later with a full tutorial on my favorite licks, and the theory behind them. Have fun! -Rob
