I love this episode, especially the ending 👀  You'd think that knowing what's going to happen, it would tamper my emotions a little bit.... nope, not the case at all. I've been even more emotional watching this through the second time. Also... that restaurant scene will always be one of my favorite scenes from Season 1.

omg this episode always hits so hard. Anyone who's ever done something competitive knows the absolute crushing pain of doing your best and still losing. One detail I love is this: in the match versus Dateko the last toss went to Asahi even though he'd been repeatedly missing and had heavy coverage. At that time Ukai said it was the right thing to do; basically "when you have no other options you send it to the ace". Then you watch this match and see that when Kageyama is pushed against a wall he sends it to Hinata. Hinata wants to be an ace so bad and on some level Kageyama absolutely considers him his ace.

Yeah I agree, I played baseball and when we lost I would think to myself should I have made that call( I was a catcher) and just go down this spiral I'm glad I had awesome team mates to help realize that, hey its ok dude we gave it our all lets just get them next time.

I really thought Adam was going to break out in tears in this one. We'll get him next time. Sarah now knows why we watch rewatch this series over again and again; it keeps on getting better.
