You KNOW I love a backstory, and this one did not disappoint! Oh my gosh 🥹 😍 this is what I needed to push Zenitsu further into the "Like" column. I don't know if this question will lead to spoilers (so answer accordingly), but is being a Demon Slayer connected to lineage?

I'm going to save you all a lot of confusion in anime to come. Lol. In Japan, it's common to refer to any older person you are close with as "gramps" or "granny". Zenitsu and the other student aren't related to the Thunder Hashira. It's the same as Tanjiro and Urokodaki.

x) And there it is ! This is one of my favorite episodes from S1 and it's so nice to see both of y'all enjoy it--from the comedy moments to the little doses of horror and the emotional moments. And diving deeper into Zenitsu's characterization and that tension between "COWARDLY" but "I want to do my best or someone is gonna let me have it" -- and of course the realllly good payoff at the end with finally showing off his Thunder breathing. (Though even as a Zenitsu fan, i will say xD There's plenty of his trademark screaming to come in the future still, haha)
