I had a very strong opinion about Lev saying he was the ace of Nekoma, and that I didn't think middles could really be considered aces. What are your thoughts?

I agree with Sarah about the Ace being the outside or opposite player because that is the player that the setter or other team members are going to send the ball to in a difficult situation or when you need to score in a critical situation. However, I think in this case, Lev, being a newbie, just though an Ace means someone who scores the most points. Also, he has the privilege to play as a middle in Nekoma, who is great at passing. That means he gets more chance to get set in the middle than a team that is not so great at passing.

I'm actually disappointed with your definition of Ace. Yes, in strictly manner Ace is the one who score the most which always go to Outside or Opposite. But you don't have to take it literally especially after watching Hinata's struggle and journey.

Sarah

I didn't say that the Ace is the person who scores the most points. I said that the Ace is the person who is expected to "clean up" bad plays and the one that is takes on the load and pressure when things are critical. This person might not be the one who scores the most points.
