Howdy patrons,

If you haven't seen it yet, our OTJ Preview Card video is out: https://youtu.be/J-ULmyHDAUQ?si=MCuvSIlBc3JRm84_

Become Munchee the Bounty Hunter as he pursues an outlaw to Grifter's Gulch.

BOXING LEAGUE.

Rules are being finalized, but here are details you can know right now:

  • Boxing League will run from Friday, April 19th to Sunday, June 2nd. Just in time for OTJ. Based on feedback, players enjoyed the 6 week session last year.

  • UPDATES TO THE CARD POOL RULES: Each player will open a booster box (draft, set, or play) of normal-release expansion or Core Set cards. Un-sets, Masters sets, reprint-only sets, collector boosters, and other anthology products are RESTRICTED, with the exception of Commander Legends I and II. At the start of every other week, players may open up to six (6) booster packs from a single set to add to their card pool. They CAN be from the same set you originally opened.

  • WHAT RESTRICTED (PROBABLY) MEANS: If you choose to open a Restricted box, there will be a handicap incurred for your first win each week in the form of a minimum deck size increase. Numbers/levels TBD.

  • OTHER NOTE: If you happen to own a copy of the legendary creature "THE BELEAGURED BOXER" from the MagicCon Chicago Unknown event, you CAN use it as your commander. However, you cannot add packs during pack-adding weeks since you'll be opening them when it ETB's the battlefield anyways. Disclosure: I, Daniel, will be playing with this card.

MORE

  • Judge's Tower returns next week! We've been thinking about trying out other mini-games on Tuesdays. Do you have ideas for mini-games you'd like to see? Pack wars, Dan-Dan, etc?

  • Filming on Season 3, Episode 3 is almost complete!

  • John and Daniel will be appearing on another commander show at the end of April. We brought jank. Jank was had.

That's all for now. Have a great weekend!

Excited to see John and Daniel play "outside" the dungeon! For mini-games ideas: I love Cubelet (players share a deck of 100 cards, no lands but any card can be played facedown as your land for turn)... or why not some sort of trivia/party game about MtG?
