Meg's Ref Sheet (Patreon)

Penny's sister, Meg, has some more page time coming up, so I figured it'd be good to put her on a ref sheet. She's pretty damn tall, and the horns give her a pretty imposing silhouette, but she's very friendly. If she likes you. Truthfully, a ref sheet for her is a bit silly since I plan on her being that type of character who wears something different every time you see her, so the outfit we have here is a more a "thematic" ref than anything else. It's to give a good idea of what her clothes are like, as well as their palettes. She has a past as a circle of stars druid, so I wanted to show that off in the clothes. Lots of star maps and spacey tones. 

Design-wise, I liked the idea of her being really opposite Penny in a lot of ways, even though they're very close and on good terms. Where Penny wears formal, restrictive clothes (with the belts, clasps and high collar, bar the skirt), her sister wears free flowing, loose robe. Penny has to jump to see over a crowd, her sister has to duck through doors sometimes. You get the idea.

With this sheet, I finally settled on a lot of her design, too. In the comic prologue, her outfit wasn't nearly showy enough, and her hair was a spot too blue, so I reeled that back and pumped up the clothes. But as I said, settled, I like where her whole look is at now. Anyway, off to work on the next pages of the comic now, so I'll be seeing you all with some lined previews soon!
