August 2021 Monthly Update (Patreon)

Hello and happy August!

Looking back at what we did in July, a lot of it falls under the category of "can't share any details with you right now," but that just means we'll have some extra-exciting updates in the future. As far as what we can talk about, well… The biggest news, of course, was the launch of the Switch version of Heart of the Woods! There were a couple hiccups, but overall we're really happy that most people have been really enjoying the game. We're hoping to have a patch out soon that should address some of the technical issues that have been cropping up - the folks at Ratalaika are hard at work on it!

We're also finally moving into the shipping stage of the Heart of the Woods Kickstarter! If you were a backer, you should've just gotten an email with a final reminder to check your address in Backerkit to make sure it's up to date. In 48 hours, the addresses will be locked down and you won't be able to modify them anymore. Shipping should begin later this week or next! Not gonna lie, it'll be a pretty big relief to have the Kickstarter all over and done with. Big thanks to Sekai Project, who's going to be handling the shipping themselves~

Work on our next projects is going smoothly as usual, too. With more and more Lock and Key assets coming in, we're getting closer to having everything we need to launch a demo of the game! Right now, the target date to have that out is later this Fall. In terms of our current projects, it's the one that we announced the longest ago, so being able to finally show you more of the game is exciting. Full release should be sometime next year, fingers crossed. Look forward to more news on that game and on Please Be Happy coming later this year.

Finally, we have a much-requested update to our webstore: Women's fitted versions of our t-shirts have been added to our store! Due to limitations with our supplier, color choices for these versions vary a bit from the unisex versions, but we've tried to keep them as similar as possible. We'll also be submitting our next merch order to our manufacturer soon, for all the keychains and other items that went on pre-order in June. We're also going to be adding a ~special surprise~ to all of our merch orders, but you'll just have to wait to hear more about that.
