Hey everyone,

Hope you're having a good July. Summer is in full swing here and it's hooooot. So, what better way to celebrate than with a cool visual novel in a snowy forest? Of course, I'm referring to the recent Switch release of "Heart of the Woods," which has somehow already been out for a week. We've seen a wave of new people discovering the game, which is super cool. We're so lucky to have an awesome community like y'all.

You may have seen on Twitter, but we got a few reports of crashes for the Switch game. So far, they seem to occur only when the game is installed to an SD card, as opposed to the system's internal memory. Reinstalling the game there should fix the issue. Your saves will carry over, although it seems saves from the SD card will still rarely crash. We'll be pushing an update towards the end of the month that will hopefully help the issue, and also will add German and Spanish language options.

Please Be Happy is still cruising along well. We've gotten a ton of helpful feedback from the demo, and have been talking over ways to integrate some of the suggestions. One exciting update is that Theo will be helping out with the writing a bit more. She was already on board to do a couple key parts, but she'll be assisting with the main script now as well. Right now, the current focus is on giving Miho and the main heroines a little more chemistry.

Lock and Key is also doing really well too. With the script being just about complete, we've begun work on the rest of the art and music assets. As always, Sarah's doing amazing work. You can hear a snippet of the Casual track that she's currently working on for the game here. Milkgrrl's also been doing some minor adjustments to the sprite style, to bring them more in line with how the CG's look.

I think that's all the news we have to share for today. We'll be back in a couple weeks with another one of these. Until then, take care!
