Hello again, and welcome to February. Here's what we've been up to:

First of all, we've had a couple Lock and Key birthdays to celebrate! Today is Ruby's birthday, while Sherri's birthday was back at the start of January. Once again, we have some lovely birthday art from adi to celebrate the occasions.

The script for this magical girl game is still coming along, with Rachel working on the latter half of the script now. There's just a few more months until it'll be ready for editing! We haven't started on most of the art or the music assets yet, but that should begin around the time the script is done.

Speaking of adi art, she and minute have been working on some full-body art of the Samayuuni cast, and those are starting to be finished. You've seen Summer in a previous one of our posts, so today, here's Izzy (and the hem of Hanna's unfinished dress). She still needs her sparkles added, but she's almost there!

We're going to be using these full-bodies for a quick internal test. Originally, we'd been planning to create Samayuuni using the Unity engine, instead of Ren'Py like our previous games. However, we're thinking about switching back to Ren'Py afterall just for its ease of use. We haven't made a final decision yet, but we will fairly soon.

Today's Music Monday post also features a new song from the Samayuuni soundtrack called Orbital Resonance. You can listen to it on our Youtube channel! The prompt for this track was "music for when something special is about to happen." As always, Sarah knocked it out of the park with this one. Into orbit, you might say.

Finally, PBH is cruising right along. Adi's been working on scripting chapter 1, while I'm in the process of rewriting chapter 2. She and minute have already made a good start, and a couple scenes are already finished, while the basics for a bunch of others have been implemented! For example, here's an early scene where Miho transfers into her fox form for the first time.

A lot of the conversation scenes have the characters inserted but no expression or pose changes yet, just stage positions. There's also no music added yet - that's usually one of the last steps.

For the Heart of the Woods Kickstarter, right now I'm waiting for suppliers to get back to me regarding a few of the final items that need to be printed. The designs for the game cases and boxes are finished, so now they just need to get made.

As for the port, we finally had that "good news" we've been talking about for so long confirmed! Buuuut it's still a little bit longer until we can announce it. That could be as soon as later this week, if all goes well. Thanks for being so patient with us on this one orz

That's all for now. We'll talk to you again in a couple weeks!
